• A thorough health history followed by extensive orthopaedic and neurologic assessment; this is specific testing designed to identify the exact problem areas of your spine and what impact it may be having on the rest of your body and health.
• Postural evaluation….postural imbalances are observed to determine how your spine has adapted to the stresses put upon it by injuries, accidents, and life in general.
• Nervous system and muscular testing: the nervous system controls and coordinates all activities of your body and is housed and protected by the spinal vertebrae.
• Balance testing to determine the neurologic feedback that the brain/vestibular(balance) system is receiving.
• Specific postural spinal x-rays (if determined appropriate) done on site, (no need to go to an imaging centre) and reviewed before any adjustments delivered.
• Chiropractic adjustment: if there is no reason we can't do so safely without further evaluation. This is done at the sole discretion of the Chiropractor.
• Follow up visit to go over your exam, x-ray results and to discuss with you a recommendation of care to resolve your problem based on your goals, history, exam findings and x-rays.
• Digital foot-scan on a follow up visit to see if your arches (your foundation) are contributing to any of the postural distortions in your spine. This will help to determine if arch support is needed.
